THE NATIONAL EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE, NEC MUST TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR PDP’s PLIGHT!

*For all that has continued to go wrong in today’s PDP, the National Executive Committee, NEC, of the Peoples Democratic Party of Nigeria, PDP, must take full responsibility and show INTENTIONAL, DELIBERATE, CONSCIOUS, REASONABLE, IDEAL, WHOLESOME, REALISTIC PRACTICAL, PRECISE and DETERMINED EFFORTS and PLAN TOWARDS AMELIORATING THIS TERRIBLE, PITIABLE, SADDENING, DEPLORABLE and PATHETIC STATE OF THE PEOPLES DEMOCRATIC PARTY OF NIGERIA, PDP!*

*Why hold NEC accountable?*

*As the highest governing organ of the Party, NEC ought to provide leadership, discipline, direction, capacity, oversight as well as checks and balances on the activities and management of the daily affairs of the Party by the CORRUPT and highly COMPROMISED Damagun-led NWC, bearing in mind that NWC is ACCOUNTABLE and ANSWERABLE TO NEC!*

*How do you explain the continuous Constitutional Violations of Sec.31(4) by Amb. Damagum in his failure to convene NEC meetings on and as at when due?*

*Sec.31(4) stipulates that:*

*” NEC shall meet at least ONCE in EVERY QUARTER at the instance of the National Chairman OR at the request of the two-third(2/3) of its membership who shall notify its Chairman at least seven days prior to the meeting and an emergency meeting may be summoned by the National Chairman having regard to all the circumstance of the agenda!*

*As of today, November 19th, 2024, only ONE NEC meeting on April 18th, 2024, has been HELD IN YEAR 2024!*

*No NEC meeting WAS HELD AT ALL IN YEAR 2023 even though Amb. Umar lliya Damagum became the PDP Acting National Chairman in MARCH, 2023 and the last NEC meeting was held on September 8th, 2022!*

*For the continued occupation of the office of the PDP National Chairman in acting capacity by Amb. Umar lliya Damagum, when did NEC meet to extend his occupation beyond 90 days?* *When?*

*Why has the National Executive Committee, NEC, of the Peoples Democratic Party of Nigeria, PDP, allow the Party to deteriorate to this deplorable state in this manner?* *Why?*

*How could it be that NEC allowed so many ANOMALIES, VIOLATIONS, ILLEGALITIES and IRREGULARITIES to slide under its watch as the highest governing organ of the Party?*

*For almost two years now DIASPORANS FOR PDP and WE STAND WITH PDP NATIONAL ORIENTATION PLATFORM have consistently put these issues on the front burner, asking and calling for DISCIPLINE, ORDER, DECORUM, SANITY, ACCOUNTABILITY, TRANSPARENCY and RESPECT FOR PARTY SUPREMACY to be restored to PDP and it has been EXCUSES, EXCUSES, EXCUSES, EXCUSES and PROCRASTINATION on the part of the Party leadership!*

*PDP has been in the news lately for all the wrong reasons!*
*Consistently VIOLATED. DEVALUED, RIDICULED, SHAMED, EMBARRASSED, and DEMARKETED, with so much DISREPUTE!*
*Brought to her knees and turned to a BIG JOKE, YET, NO ACCOUNTABILITY WHATSOEVER HAS BEEN DEMANDED FROM NEITHER AMB. UMAR LLIYA DAMAGUN NOR ANYONE ELSE!*

*How could this have happened to a Political Party with a subsisting Constitution!*

*How can a major Political Party as the Peoples Democratic Party of Nigeria, PDP, not have a Substantive National Chairman in 20 months and counting?*

*Is having such a major and integral position in the National Working Committee of a Political Party in acting capacity for so long, not retrogressive to this Party especially in the face of very glaring INCOMPETENCE, INDISCIPLINE, IMPUNITY, INSINCERITY, DISRESPECT FOR PARTY SUPREMACY INSUBORDINATION, LACK OF ACCOUNTABILITY, TRANSPARENCY DIRECTION and a very obvious ABYSMAL PERFORMANCE?*

*Why has PDP been deliberately subjected, punished and forced to choose mediocrity over COMPETENCE?*

*Why has the supposedly PDP Elected Party Officials, who took an oath to RESPECT, PROTECT, PRESERVE and UPHOLD PARTY’S IDEOLOGY, ETHOS, INTERESTS and CONSTITUTION are consistently bringing disrepute to the Party and NEC, has done absolutely nothing to bring ORDER, DISCIPLINE, SANITY and DECORUM, to the Party?*

*As we are all aware, the highly anticipated November 28th NEC meeting, which has already been rescheduled thrice, is an ample opportunity for NEC to RESCUE and put back this Party that has been deliberately derailed, on track by upholding the UNAMBIGUOUS, NON-CONFUSING and UNCOMPLICATED Sec.47(6) of the PDP 2017 Constitution(as amended)!*
*The LIFE, SURVIVAL, GROWTH, PROGRESS and FUTURE of the Peoples Democratic Party of Nigeria, PDP is dependent upon the resolutions of the long-awaited November 28th NEC meeting!*

*PDP is daily losing STEAM and RELEVANCE!*

*Morale is at an all-time low!*

*Many loyal, committed and dedicated PDP members are daily losing trust and confidence in the Party and are quietly leaving the Party in droves not to defect but to stay away and shield their sanity and mental health from the very STRESSFUL, INCORRIGIBLE and TOXIC ENVIRONMENT, PDP has become!*

*The buck stops on your desk NEC!*

*It is now all about your actions and inactions, moving forward!*
