Yeyeluwa ‘Dupe Adeleke-Sanni Highlights Governor Adeleke’s Achievements, Urges FG To Fix Ibadan-Ife-Akure and Osogbo Highways

Yeyeluwa Adeleke-Sanni Hails Governor Adeleke’s Achievements

…calls on FG to fix Ibadan-Ife-Akure and Osogbo Highways…

The atmosphere was filled with optimism and renewed hope as political leaders, industrialists, and dignitaries gathered at the Oasis Event Centre, Osogbo, for the Osun State Dinner and Industrial Investment Roundtable (DIIR) 2025, themed “Partnerships for Prosperity: Consolidating the Gains of the Imole Administration.”

Among the distinguished speakers was the Yeyeluwa of Edeland and President of the Adeleke Women of Substance, Chief (Dr) Mrs. Modupeola Adeleke-Sanni, who electrified the audience with her stirring remarks on the transformation of Osun State under Governor Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke.

Describing Osun as a state reborn, Yeyeluwa Adeleke-Sanni declared, “It is a new Osun State we have here! Governor Adeleke’s five-point agenda has been achieved and the light of Imole continues to shine across our dear state.”

She commended the governor’s cabinet members for their dedication and teamwork, stating that their collective efforts have turned campaign promises into tangible progress.

“Thanks to his committed Cabinet Members, other appointees and the unrelenting support from the Osun sons and daughters in the diaspora. Together, they have made this new dawn possible,” Yeyeluwa Adeleke-Sanni noted.

While applauding the strides of the state governments in infrastructure, Yeyeluwa Modupeola used the occasion to call on the Federal Government to fix critical roads linking Osun to neighbouring states particularly the Ibadan-Ife-Akure and Osogbo highways.

“Governor Adeleke has done flyovers in Osogbo and Ile-Ife and dualized roads in Ilesa, Ede, Iwo and Osogbo. It is high time the Federal Government played its part. We need our interstate roads fixed, electricity stabilised, clearing fees reviewed and the medical sector revitalised,” she emphasised.

“As the Mother of the State, I want our state to look like London – beautiful, organised and full of life,” she said with conviction. Yeyeluwa also expressed firm confidence that Governor Adeleke would win a second term, describing his leadership as “divinely ordained.”

“Gov Ademola Adeleke will win again. Nobody can change the will of God,” she declared to a thunderous applause as her words echoing the confidence many in attendance shared about the governor’s performance.

Despite the withholding of Osun local government allocations by the Federal Government, she lauded the governor’s commitment to governance with a human face.

“Even in the face of financial constraints, the governor continues to pay workers’ salaries and retirees’ benefits promptly, while still building and maintaining infrastructure across the state. That is true leadership – turning lemons into lemonade,” she said.

In her passionate closing remarks, Yeyeluwa Modupeola Adeleke-Sanni appealed to Nigerians both at home and abroad to invest in Osun State, describing it as a fertile ground for opportunities in agriculture, tourism, manufacturing, etc.

“Let us join hands to grow Osun. Our cultural heritage must not just be preserved but promoted to the world,” she said.

She also encouraged other government appointees to take a cue from the Honourable Commissioner for Industry and Commerce, Revd. Bunmi Jenyo, for his commitment to organising impactful programs that attract investment and development.

“Every appointee should emulate Revd. Jenyo. Let your work speak for you and add value to Osun State,” she charged.
