SOUTH SOUTH ZONE OF ALMAGALMATED APC SUPPORT GROUP (AASG) RESPONSE TO ALLEGATIONS AGAINST APC’S NATIONAL SECRETARY, SENATOR BASIRU AJIBOLA

The South South Zonal Coordinator of the Amalgamated APC Support Groups (AASG), Comr. Amb Emmanuel Chukwuemeke, on behalf of all support groups operating under the auspices of the All Progressives Congress (APC), strongly condemns the unfounded allegations levied against APC’s National Secretary, Senator Basiru Ajibola, by the FCT Minister, Barrister Nyesom Wike.

We wish to state unequivocally that these claims are entirely baseless, without merit, and appear to be part of a calculated attempt to tarnish the reputation and political integrity of Senator Basiru, the APC, and the administration of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Such irresponsible actions threaten the unity and stability of our party and must be condemned in the strongest terms.

We are deeply disappointed and alarmed by this act of character assassination, which is not only uncalled for but also a clear attempt to undermine the credibility and dignity of our party’s leadership. It is a reckless abuse of public trust and an assault on the integrity of a distinguished party member. We call on all party members, supporters, and Nigerians to reject such malicious and divisive tactics that threaten the peaceful coexistence and progress of our nation.

On behalf of the South South Zone of the Amalgamated APC Support Group (AASG), we call on all our members and supporters nationwide to remain calm and resolute. It is vital that we uphold our commitment to peace, decorum, and lawful conduct at all times. We further demand an open and unreserved apology from the FCT Minister, Barrister Nyesom Wike, to our National Secretary, Senator Basiru Ajibola, for this unwarranted and damaging attack.

We stand firmly with the leadership of the APC and reaffirm our dedication to supporting the party’s vision and mission. We urge law enforcement agencies and relevant authorities to investigate this matter thoroughly and ensure justice is served. We also call on the Nigerian authorities to uphold justice and protect the reputation of all party members against such malicious acts.

Let us remain united, disciplined, and focused on our collective goal of advancing the progress and development of Nigeria under the APC banner.
