Pastor Paul-Kayode Joash, a UK-based cleric and Senior Pastor of The Great House Nation Church, Ibadan, has been remanded in the Agodi correctional facility, Ibadan, Oyo State.

He is accused of defrauding three individuals of a total of N305 million. The pastor allegedly collected the money to produce certificates of sponsorship for those intending to migrate to the UK for healthcare jobs.

The charges include collecting N134,823,750 from one victim, N30 million from another, N135,177,750 from a third, and N5,881,000 from yet another victim. Pastor Joash faces a 10-count charge of obtaining money under pretense and pleaded not guilty.

He was granted N10 million bail with two sureties and the case is adjourned until December 18 for mention.
