To the esteemed members of the press and the general public

I, Alhaji Gurawa Bawa, Director of Admin, PDP, and on behalf of the entire staff of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), wish to make a public apology and renunciation of the press statement released yesterday, May 14, 2025,

*Coercion and Regret*

Circumstances led me to read a statement handed to me by the deputy national national secretary endorsing him,Architect Setonji Koshoedo as the acting National Secretary, contrary to the Supreme Court’s clear judgment affirming Senator Samuel Anyanwu as the authentic National Secretary. My conscience has been troubling me. As a father and grand father I regret being used to disparage Senator Anyanwu, who has consistently demonstrated kindness and attentiveness to staff welfare.

*Staff’s Position*

The staff of the PDP National Secretariat do not wish to be involved in deciding who occupies any office. We believe in respecting the rule of law and the judgments of our courts. Our primary focus is on serving the party and the nation with integrity.

*Apology*

We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience caused by yesterday’s statement. We reaffirm our commitment to upholding the truth and supporting the legitimate leadership of Senator Samuel Anyanwu, as validated by the Supreme Court.

*Conclusion*

We hope that this clarification will put an end to any speculation and allow us to focus on our work. We pledge to maintain our professionalism and dedication to the PDP’s mission.
