Reaffirms Government Continous Bond With Impactful Collaboration to Sustain Citizens Sound Health and Well-being.

The First Lady of Osun State, Her Excellency, Chief (Mrs.) Titilola Adebusola Adeleke has reaffirmed the state government unwavering commitment to strengthening the health sector and promoting the wellbeing of women and children across the state. Chief (Mrs.) Adeleke made this known during the official flag-off of a free cervical cancer screening programme, held at the EOC hall, Ministry of Health, Secretariat, Abere.

The exercise initiated by Forth Global Inclusion Initiative in collaboration with the office of the First Lady and the Osun State Ministry of Health, was organized in commemoration of World Cervical Cancer Elimination Day 2025, a global observance dedicated to raising awareness on the prevention, early detection, and elimination of cervical cancer.

The First Lady lauded Professor E.O.A Afolayan, Advisor to Forth Global Inclusion Initiative, for his dedication and collaboration in driving the exercise, and appreciated the organization’s commitment to advancing women’s health. She described the fight against the menace as a collective one.

She charged women and young ladies to embrace screening exercises, vaccination, adherence to medical guidance, good nutrition and healthy life style as steps to curb and defeat this deadly disease and other preventable diseases. _“My office is open to impactful partnerships with local and international organizations, aimed at addressing various challenges confronting women and children in Osun State”_ she stressed.

Speakers at the event commended the state government under the visionary leadership of Senator (Dr) Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke for his giant blue print and stellar records in health sector that has rejuvenated sound health service delivery and improved the wellbeing of citizens.

The programme witnessed presence of key players in the health sector, including Dr Isiaka Adekunle, Permannent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Dr. Abayomi Akinwale, Chairman, Hospital Management Board, Hon Tajudeen Adisa, Chairman, Osun State Primary Health Care Board. Mrs Rose Odika, Brand Ambassador, Forth Global Inclusion Initiative among others
