OSUN ADC AND OMOLUABI PROGRESSIVE GROUP (OPG) REAFFIRM UNITY, STRATEGY AND COLLABORATION FOR 2026 ELECTIONS

A joint meeting between the Osun ADC Local Government Chairmen and the leadership of the Omoluabi Progressive Group (OPG) was held today, Saturday, 15th November, 2025, at Oranmiyan House, Aregbe Junction, Osogbo. The meeting commenced exactly at 11:00am.

The session was coordinated by the ADC State Organizing Secretary, _*Hon. Ayoola Blessing Ige,*_ while the opening prayer was led by _*Hon. Azeez Adekunle.*_

*Opening Remarks*

The Osun State ADC Chairman, _*Dr. Charles Idowu Omidiji,*_ appreciated the tireless efforts of the _*Omoluabi Progressive Group LGA Chairmen*_ in their respective localities. He emphasized the need for unity, cooperation and synergy among all leadership structures within the party. He further noted that the collective priority and focus must be to ensure that the ADC takes over the mantle of leadership in Osun State come 2026.

_*Dr. Omidiji*_ encouraged all leaders to embrace peace across all LGAs, wards and units and to intensify grassroots mobilization. He also shared insights into his long-standing relationship with the National Secretary of ADC, _*Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola,*_ recounting his active political roles during Ogbeni’s assumption of leadership on November 27th, 2010, especially in his capacity as the then IPAC Chairman.

*Remarks by the Omoluabi Progressive Group State Chairman*

The OPG State Chairman, Alhaji Abdulazeez Isa Adesiji, reiterated the need for close cooperation and alignment between OPG LGA Chairmen and the ADC leadership at the local level. He stated clearly that all OPG Chairmen must henceforth work directly with ADC structures in their areas as directed.

He encouraged inclusiveness and neutrality toward all gubernatorial aspirants, stressing that no favoritism should be allowed within the party. According to him, the collective goal should be the success of the party in the 2026 gubernatorial election and the 2027 general elections, expressing optimism that victory shall be achieved by God’s grace.

Party leaders at the meeting expressed enthusiasm and joy at the renewed unity and collaborative spirit.

*Hon. Sifawu Adebayo Babatunde* from Iwo LGA appreciated both leadership blocs.

*Chief Adekunle Adeagbo* from Orolu LGA also commended the leadership of ADC and OPG for fostering cooperation and understanding.

*Briefing on Federal Constituency Tours*

The State Organizing Secretary, _*Hon. Ayoola Blessing Ige*_, presented an update on the already drafted plan for the Federal Constituencies Tour, which will be led by the National Secretary of the Party, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola. The tour dates are as follows:

1. *Ifedayo / Ila / Boluwaduro Federal Constituency* – Tue. 18th Nov. 2025

2. *Ayedaade / Irewole / Isokan Federal Constituency* – Thur. 20th Nov. 2025

3. *Obokun / Oriade Federal Constituency* – Tue. 25th Nov. 2025

4. *Ede South / Ede North / Egbedore / Ejigbo Federal Constituency* – Thur. 27th Nov. 2025

5. *Ife Central / Ife East / Ife North / Ife South Federal Constituency* – Tue. 2nd Dec. 2025

6. *Ifelodun / Boripe / Odo Otin Federal Constituency* – Thur. 4th Dec. 2025

7. *Ilesa East / Ilesa West / Atakumosa East / Atakumosa West Federal Constituency* – Fri. 5th Dec. 2025

8. *Ayedire / Iwo / Ola-Oluwa Federal Constituency* – Tue. 9th Dec. 2025

These tours aim to deepen grassroots engagement, strengthen ADC structures across Osun State and reaffirm the party’s commitment to progressive leadership, transparency and inclusive governance.

All leaders, stakeholders, supporters and party faithful were strongly encouraged to mobilize massively and participate actively in the tour within their respective constituencies.

The atmosphere of the meeting reflected renewed unity, commitment and determination to work together as one formidable team toward achieving victory for the ADC in the forthcoming elections.
