President Bola Tinubu has directed the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) to review its previous recommendation of a 114 percent increase in the remuneration of judicial officers.

Tinubu emphasized the commitment of the Federal Government to address the challenges facing the judiciary and advocated for the appointment of appellate court justices from outside the bench. He cautioned against undue criticism of the judiciary, particularly in relation to decisions on political cases.

Tinubu expressed pride in the accomplishments of the Nigerian judiciary and urged patience as the review process unfolds.
