WMC intercepts hard drugs, 3,750 liters of petrol, others worth over N900m

The Western Marine Command (WMC) of the Nigeria Customs Services (NCS) announced the interception of hard drugs, 3,750 liters of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), and other contraband worth over N900 million.

The seizures, made from August to October 2023, include 1,199 loaves of Cannabis Sativa (Marijuana), 66,000 capsules of 225mg Tramadol, 1,257 sacks of foreign parboiled rice, and 3,750 liters of PMS. The cumulative value of the seizures is reported to be N923.794 million.

The Customs Area Controller emphasized the importance of public adherence to government fiscal policies, prohibitions, and restrictions for national security and economic growth.
