The National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, stated that Nigeria is facing an economic crisis due to the failed system inherited by the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He acknowledged the financial constraints and revealed that the country inherited a difficult situation, describing it as “literally a bankrupt country.”

Despite the economic challenges, Ribadu assured that the Federal Government is committed to ensuring a robust and viable defense management and security apparatus to address contemporary challenges.

He commended the Armed Forces for their commitment to addressing security challenges and urged support for their efforts.
