The Minister of State for Police Affairs, Imaan Suleiman-Ibrahim, announced that the police high command will execute President Bola Tinubu’s directive for the withdrawal of police personnel from VIP security duties and develop a community policing strategy.

She emphasized the need for the Police Inspectorate Department to focus on monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning. The ministry aims to contribute to the realization of the President’s vision for a renewed and highly effective Nigeria Police Force.

Suleiman-Ibrahim highlighted key mandates, including developing and implementing a harmonized police reform report, amending the Police Act, and executing the withdrawal of police from VIP security duties.
