The Ogun State Police command arrested a final-year student of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Oladokun Ayomide, for allegedly poisoning his girlfriend, Ugbokwe Mmasichukwu, and her friend, Odumosu Semilore.

The suspect reportedly administered a poison, believed to be a mixture of brownie cakes, alcohol, and an unknown harmful substance, after inviting his girlfriend and her friend to his residence. The victims lost consciousness after consuming the harmful substance.

The police said preliminary investigation revealed that Ayomide was suspected to have had an intention to harm the victims. The victims are responding to treatment, and further investigation is ongoing.
