Hon. Husein Kehinde Ajetunmobi Meets PDP Leaders in Ijebu-Ode, Calls for Unity and Support

The chairman-elect of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ijebu-Ode Local Government, Hon. Husein Kehinde Ajetunmobi, convened a crucial meeting with party leaders from across the 11 wards of the local government area. The meeting, aimed at fostering unity, focused on rallying support for the party’s efforts to reclaim power both at the local and state levels.

In his address, Ajetunmobi called for cooperation among the party’s leadership, emphasizing that unity is key to the success of the PDP. He acknowledged that his victory as chairman-elect was made possible by the support of the party leaders, and he urged them to remain steadfast in their commitment to the party’s objectives.

“Our mission is to return PDP to power in Ijebu-Ode and Ogun State. I am only motivated by the strong support of our leaders, and I beg for your continued backing in this journey,” Ajetunmobi said during the meeting.

He also expressed his deep appreciation to Hon. Ladi Adebutu, the PDP leader in Ogun State, recognizing his unwavering support for the party. Ajetunmobi offered prayers for Adebutu’s future success, stating his belief that come 2027, Adebutu will emerge as the governor of Ogun State.

During the gathering, Ajetunmobi introduced Barrister Dele Okenla as the PDP’s chairmanship candidate for the upcoming local government elections. Okenla, in his remarks, expressed his gratitude to the party leaders for their trust and support. He pledged to remain loyal to Hon. Ladi Adebutu and to the PDP leaders in Ijebu-Ode. He further assured the leaders that, with their support, he would lead the party to victory in the local government elections.

“I appreciate the leaders for their support and promise to be loyal to Hon. Ladi Adebutu and all leaders in Ijebu-Ode. With your continued backing, I am confident we will win this election,” Okenla stated.

Responding on behalf of the PDP leaders, Chief Okenla reaffirmed the commitment of the party’s leadership to both Ajetunmobi and Barrister Dele Okenla. He assured them of the leaders’ unwavering support and offered prayers for their success in the coming elections. “We, the leaders, stand fully behind both our party chairman and our chairmanship candidate. We will work together to secure victory, and may your leadership bring good fortune to the party,” Chief Okenla said.

The meeting ended with a renewed sense of purpose among PDP leaders in Ijebu-Ode, as they pledged their commitment to work together to achieve the party’s goals in the upcoming elections and beyond.
