Effective Representation: Relief Comes When Promises Are Kept
It has become common in politics for leaders to make many promises and fail to keep them. Today, anyone who fulfills promises is even seen as doing something unusual. This situation is one of the reasons Nigerians are suffering, despite the many resources God has blessed the country with.
Our democratic system is designed so that representatives serve as a bridge between the government and the people. Their duty is to ensure that the grassroots feel the impact of governance through better roads, jobs, electricity, clean water, and support for small businesses. Unfortunately, this goal has not been achieved.
In the early years of Nigeria’s independence, many government contracts were handled by Nigerians. Later, due to abuse and mismanagement, foreign companies were brought in. Even with this change, ordinary citizens still struggle to enjoy basic amenities that are common in developed countries.
The major problem lies in representation. Many representatives enter office with wrong motives, some seek personal wealth, others chase power or family recognition. With such intentions, there is usually no clear plan to serve the people, and failure becomes inevitable.
This is where *Engr. Lukman Ayodeji Bello* stands out. He understands our environment, having grown up in Nigeria and gained experience locally and internationally. His belief is simple: if a system works elsewhere, it can also work for our people. He is a successful professional whose focus is service, not personal gain.
He has chosen to start from home by offering himself to represent Ayiwola Federal Constituency, guided by the principle that charity begins at home. His mission is clear to reduce poverty, improve living conditions, and create opportunities for economic growth.
We therefore call on all sons and daughters of Iwoland, both at home and in the diaspora, to support a leader with vision, integrity, and experience, for the progress of our constituency.
God bless Iwoland.
God bless Osun State.
God bless Nigeria.
