PRESS STATEMENT

The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), His Excellency Ambassador Umar Iliya Damagum, attended the quarterly consultative meeting of all registered political parties convened by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.

The meeting provided an opportunity for political party leaders across Nigeria to deliberate on key electoral issues, review ongoing processes, and reaffirm their collective commitment to strengthening the nation’s democratic institutions.

Discussions at the meeting largely focused on the forthcoming elections in Anambra, FCT, Ekiti, and Osun States, as well as the recent INEC voters registration exercise.

The Peoples Democratic Party wishes to assure all its members and supporters that the interests of our great party were robustly and responsibly represented during the deliberations.
