Title: The Rise of a New Generation: Shifting Leadership to the Youth

The Office of the Youth Leader, ADC Voice Worldwide Diaspora Network, wishes to reaffirm its commitment to advancing a new national consciousness that recognizes the central role of young people in shaping the future of Nigeria.

The realities of the 21st century demand a strategic shift, a transition that places competent, visionary, and innovative youth at the forefront of leadership and national development. With over 70% of Nigeria’s population under the age of 35, it is clear that the strength, creativity, and energy required to move our nation forward reside significantly within the youth demographic.

This shift is not merely desirable; it is necessary.

Young people today are driving innovation, leading global conversations, and redefining governance standards across the world. Nigeria cannot afford to lag behind. Our nation stands at a critical juncture, and empowering the youth with leadership responsibilities is essential for sustainable growth, democratic strengthening, and socio-economic transformation.

The ADC Voice Worldwide Diaspora Network continues to champion policies, platforms, and initiatives that promote youth inclusion, capacity-building, political participation, and leadership excellence.

We firmly believe that when the youth lead, the nation progresses.

This statement serves as a call to all stakeholders government institutions, political leaders, civil society organizations, and the private sector to join hands in supporting a leadership transition that reflects the realities of our population and the aspirations of our future.

A new generation is rising, equipped with vision, courage, and competence.

The time to shift leadership to the youth is now.

Signed,

Hon. Abdul-Malik Rabiu Jaafar (Dr.)

Youth Leader, ADC Voice Worldwide Diaspora Network
