2027 Election: Youths Across the Federal Constituency Stand Ready for Effective Representation
……it is time to give our fatherland the development it truly deserves.
In the history of Iwo Federal Constituency (Ayiwola), youths have consistently been denied the opportunity to represent the people at the Federal House of Representatives (the Green Chamber) since the return of democracy. This situation might have been tolerable if the constituency were progressing as expected, but the reality is clear, we still have a long way to go.
A fair assessment shows that past representatives may not have deliberately neglected their responsibilities; rather, they delivered based on their level of exposure and experience in governance. However, a major challenge has been the absence of clear and strategic plans for effective representation. In many cases, representation appears to be treated as try and luck rather than preparation, making it difficult to meet the genuine expectations of the people. As a result, engagement with the masses is often limited to election periods, when rice and small tokens are shared to secure votes.
Effective representation goes far beyond food items and handouts. In truth, the masses do not need rice if systems are functioning properly. True representation creates opportunities, improves livelihoods, and enables people to live decently through access to jobs, infrastructure, and economic stability. It also helps reduce the widening gap between the rich and the poor—a gap that has left over 90 percent of the population struggling.
Engr. Lukman Ayodeji Bello has clearly outlined key agendas capable of boosting the economy and improving infrastructure across Iwo Federal Constituency (Ayiwola). These plans are designed to attract investors, create jobs, and stimulate sustainable growth. Unfortunately, so-called empowerment programmes have been poorly handled since the inception of democracy, as evidenced by the rising rate of poverty. Empowerment must be strategic and effective when beneficiaries are properly supported, the positive impact spreads to families and communities, creating relief across the constituency.
Concrete security measures are also part of the plan, aimed at assuring investors that their businesses and investments are safe. The more successful investors feel, the more others will be encouraged to come. In addition, primary and secondary education must receive urgent attention to produce quality students who can excel academically, pursue meaningful careers, and contribute positively to society.
These highlighted plans are only the tip of the iceberg. Much more is in place. This is why youths across Ayiwola Constituency, especially those working closely with Engr. Lukman Ayodeji Bello, are tirelessly mobilising to see him elected so the constituency can finally experience rapid and inclusive development.
God bless Ayiwola Constituency.
God bless Osun State.
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
