The Root Of Nigeria’s Failing Systems Lies In The Scarcity Of Sincere And Effective Representation.

The root of Nigeria’s failing systems lies in the scarcity of sincere and effective representation.
Representation in government is meant to serve as a bridge between the people at the grassroots and the government. Its purpose includes conveying the needs of the people and promoting laws that serve the general public, ensuring a peaceful, orderly, and habitable society where citizens can thrive without conflict.
While some legislative members understand this responsibility and are genuinely doing their best, the majority view representation merely as a means of personal enrichment. This is why poverty continues to prevail in our country, despite various government efforts to reach the grassroots through representative structures.
Effective representation begins with a clear understanding of the actual needs of the people within a constituency, particularly in terms of welfare and security. These needs should then be translated into meaningful laws and presented on the legislative floor. Beyond legislation, effective representation also addresses physical and developmental needs that directly improve the lives of the masses such as infrastructure, good road networks, higher institutions, quality schools, vocational training centers, and other community-driven projects.
Against this backdrop, Engr. Lukman Ayodeji Bello critically examined the factors hindering effective representation in Nigeria. He studied governance and representation systems in the United States of America and other developed countries, and actively supported individuals he believed could perform excellently if given proper communication channels and opportunities. Unfortunately, the expected outcomes did not materialize as planned. This experience prompted him to step forward personally and commit himself to implementing the lessons he has learned about true and effective representation.
A man of vision and purpose, he deserves total support and stands as a worthy answer to long-standing prayers for our beloved land.
We therefore call on all Iwoland indigenes, both at home and in the diaspora, to unite and give full support to this vibrant youth with a brilliant vision so he can apply his capacity, knowledge, and commitment to move our land forward at a faster pace.
So help us God.
