Access Bank partners FG to support 4 million MSMEs, women, youths with N30bn
Access Bank Plc has partnered with the Federal Government to provide N30 billion in support for four million Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) as part of its commitment to supporting women and youth-owned businesses in Nigeria.
The Group Managing Director/CEO of Access Bank Plc, Roosevelt Ogbonna, revealed this after a meeting with Vice-President Kashim Shettima. With over 66% of Nigeria’s MSMEs owned by women and youths, challenges like access to finance, education, and mentorship persist.
Access Bank has designed four different programs to address these issues and benefit millions of individuals and businesses across Nigeria. The programs aim to provide support through discounted rates to all beneficiaries.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Job Creation and MSMEs, Temitola Adekunle-Johnson, expressed the Federal Government’s readiness to collaborate with the private sector to support SMEs, emphasizing the potential benefits of the partnership with Access Bank.
