Human rights lawyer, Pelumi Olajengbesi, has called on governors of 35 states to emulate Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke by sacrificing their monthly security votes for the development of their states.

Olajengbesi urged leaders to demonstrate empathy during these challenging economic times caused by the removal of the fuel subsidy.

He highlighted that some governors receive at least N600 million or more each month as security votes, which could be utilized for the development of their states.

The lawyer commended Adeleke for consistently allocating his security votes for salaries and development since assuming office.
