An accident on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway involving a truck and a Mazda bus claimed the lives of six individuals, with six others sustaining varying degrees of injuries. The accident occurred at the car park turning opposite Redemption Camp, a busy section of the highway.

According to reports, the Mazda bus driver was speeding and collided with a truck making a U-turn. The truck driver reportedly fled the scene after the incident.

The injured individuals were taken to RCCG and Famobis hospitals, while the deceased were deposited at Idera Morgue in Sagamu and Famobis Hospital in Mowe.
