The internal crisis of Accord party has taken another dimension. The life of national secretary is under threat from aggrieved masked party members

Hon. Dr. Adebukola Abiola Ajaja reportedly survived an assassination attempt yesterday and has recounted her terrifying ordeal and how she narrowly escaped. This is deeply concerning, and I appeal to everyone involved to pursue an amicable resolution. There is no justification for anyone to lose their life over political disagreements. We must do everything within our power to ensure her safety and protect her life.

I am also calling on the Inspector-General of Police to take this matter seriously and urgently investigate the reported threat to the life of the Accord Party National Secretary. Her safety must be guaranteed, and the relevant authorities should act swiftly to prevent any further danger.

Beyond this immediate concern, I believe it is important to address the allegations of financial misconduct and dishonesty within the party’s leadership.

I believe the allegations involving the National Chairman and the Organising Secretary deserve a thorough, impartial investigation.

Let us focus on accountability, truth, and justice rather than violence or personal vendettas. Anyone accused of wrongdoing should be given the opportunity to respond, and any proven misconduct should be addressed through the appropriate legal and party channels.

My urgent appeal is simple: let us protect the life of the Accord Party National Secretary, ensure her safety by every lawful means, and allow the police to investigate these serious concerns without delay. Nothing must happen to this woman. Her life matters, and her safety must be our priority.
