Israel’s Election Has Produced A HUNG KNESSET, And Neither Netanyahu Nor Eisenkot Can Govern Alone.
28th of October, 2026
Israel’s election has produced a HUNG KNESSET, and neither Netanyahu nor Eisenkot can govern alone.
With 100% of regular ballots counted, Netanyahu’s bloc stands at 53 seats, while Eisenkot’s opposition bloc has 48, both short of the 61 needed for a majority.
The Arab parties now hold a potentially decisive 19 seats: the Joint List with 12 and Ra’am with 7.
One major piece remains: roughly 600,000 double-envelope ballots still need to be counted, with final results expected tomorrow.
For now, neither Netanyahu nor Eisenkot has a majority, putting the Arab parties at the center of the battle to form Israel’s next government.
